This case study outlines the challenges faced by a large law enforcement agency regarding data management and analysis. The agency's existing IT systems were fragmented, lacking commonality in case management, data sharing capabilities, and efficient search functionality. The MASS team collaborated with the agency to identify key improvements through data engineering, data architecture, and content management. They automated manual data processes, significantly reducing report preparation time. A comprehensive digital-twin database was proposed to enhance data sharing among investigative teams. SharePoint was recommended as a new content management system to improve accessibility and searchability of information. The project concluded with a roadmap for implementing cost-effective solutions that increased productivity, trained staff in new digital tools, and improved data accessibility across the organization. The agency is now better equipped to make informed decisions and identify leads more quickly.
