This document is a case study detailing the traffic management solutions implemented by SWARCO McCain and General Highway Products, Inc. in Allentown, Pennsylvania, to address the traffic challenges posed by the PPL Center during major events. The case study outlines the need for a dynamic signal system capable of managing increased traffic flow, which affects 39 intersections around the arena and the central business district. The project aimed to reduce congestion and wait times while ensuring the safety of both vehicles and pedestrians. The solutions included the installation of McCain ATC eX2 NEMA Controllers and the MyCity TMS for traffic signal control. Additionally, the integration of these systems into Allentown's existing infrastructure was highlighted, along with the provision of software training and ongoing technical support. The results of these implementations led to improved traffic conditions, streamlined vehicular access, and enhanced pedestrian safety during peak event hours, contributing to the city's economic rejuvenation efforts.
