This document is a case study detailing the implementation of advanced traffic management solutions by SWARCO McCain in Culver City, California. The city faced significant challenges with its legacy traffic systems, particularly during the pandemic, which resulted in changes to traffic flow patterns. To address these issues, SWARCO McCain deployed the MyCity TMS and installed 106 McCain 2070LX Controllers with adaptive capabilities. The integration of the MyCity Adaptive system allowed for the development of new signal timing plans at 102 intersections. The implementation also included the Omni eX Intersection Control Software, which provided customizable options for traffic management. The results showed a 15% increase in arrival on green and improved platoon ratios, indicating enhanced traffic throughput. The adaptive solutions effectively managed fluctuating traffic volumes, reducing the need for manual interventions. This case study illustrates the successful modernization of Culver City’s traffic infrastructure and its adaptability to evolving traffic conditions.
