This document is a case study detailing the implementation of the MyCity Traffic Management System (TMS) in Springfield, Missouri, by SWARCO McCain in collaboration with the City of Springfield and the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT). The objective of the project was to address transportation issues and traffic congestion experienced in the city due to an outdated traffic management system. The new system enhances remote monitoring capabilities, allowing for immediate notifications of critical events and improved traffic analysis through advanced features of the McCain ATC eX 2070 Controllers. The installation included configuring 300 controllers and conducting a comprehensive timing plan analysis. The document outlines the benefits of real-time data provisioning, system monitoring, and robust analytics, which facilitate informed decision-making for traffic management. Additionally, it discusses Springfield's future planning for implementing additional Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) to further improve urban mobility in the region.
