This case study examines the implementation and impact of Achieve3000 Literacy + Boost in Aldine Independent School District (Aldine ISD) during the 2017-2018 school year. Aldine ISD serves approximately 60,000 students, with a significant portion identified as at risk of dropping out. The district adopted Achieve3000 Literacy + Boost to enhance reading intervention for middle school students. The methodology involved analyzing performance data from the STAAR Reading test, focusing on seventh- and eighth-grade students who utilized the program. Results indicated that students demonstrated an average Lexile growth of 91L, surpassing the expected growth of 82L. Notably, students who engaged more with the program achieved even greater gains. The percentage of students meeting proficiency levels for college and career readiness increased significantly, and the overall pass rate for the STAAR ELA improved from 17% in 2017 to 51% in 2018. This case study highlights the effectiveness of data-driven instructional strategies in improving student literacy outcomes.
