This case study details the application of RhinoCAM NEST at Rhodes Yacht Design, focusing on the Custom Carolina 45 yacht, Anjamar. Established in 2005, Rhodes Yacht Design employs artistic and technical skills in yacht design. The case study outlines the process of using RhinoCAM NEST for efficient nesting of components required for the assembly of the yacht's Wheel House. It describes the steps involved in preparing parts for nesting, including staging components, loading the NEST module, and utilizing the NEST Browser for managing nesting parameters. The study emphasizes the importance of minimizing material waste and optimizing engineering time through effective nesting strategies. Additionally, it discusses the selection of nesting types, such as True Shape Nesting and Rectangular Nesting, and the significance of remnant control for reusing unused sheet portions. The case study serves as an informative guide for understanding the practical implementation of RhinoCAM NEST in composite boat manufacturing.
