Expanding Reporting Capabilities in Healthcare

This case study details the efforts of a Critical Access Hospital to enhance its reporting capabilities within the Oracle Cerner CommunityWorks environment. The hospital aimed to improve visibility into various performance metrics, including clinical, operational, financial, and revenue cycle aspects. Avarion, part of Med Tech Solutions, provided expertise in Oracle Cerner reporting to design, build, validate, and deploy a catalog of approximately 66 prioritized reports. These reports covered multiple areas such as emergency services, ambulatory care, inpatient operations, and more. The project involved collaborating with stakeholders to define reporting requirements and develop solutions using Oracle Cerner tools. The engagement also focused on ensuring regulatory compliance and supporting operational decision-making. Key activities included validating report logic, configuring production deployments, and providing training for long-term sustainability. The results included expanded access to critical data and established frameworks for managing reporting assets effectively.
