Accelerating Site Startups for Oncology Clinical Trials

This case study presents the execution of nearly 200 site startups within a two-month timeline, focusing on the operational strategies employed by Median Technologies, a global provider of oncology clinical trial imaging services. The initiative was undertaken to address the urgent need for faster startup documentation and global site initiation, showcasing Median's capability to enhance responsiveness and coordination across various regions including Asia. The study outlines the well-planned site initiation strategy that involved managing translations for specific countries and leveraging electronic submissions to streamline the process. Additionally, the case study explains how real-time visibility and superior communication facilitated efficient management of site coordination and prioritization based on image volume. The results indicate that Median achieved an average turnaround time of only 12 days between the initial contact with a site and full initiation, thus demonstrating effective solutions in overcoming operational challenges throughout the project.
