This case study details Møbelringen's implementation of Medius AP Automation to enhance its accounts payable (AP) processes. Møbelringen, a Norwegian furniture retail chain, faced challenges with manual invoice processing, which was time-consuming and inefficient. The AP team managed invoices from 69 stores, requiring a solution to streamline operations. The integration of Medius AP Automation in 2012 allowed for centralized digital invoice management, automatic matching of purchase orders, and improved reporting capabilities through the Medius Analytics tool. Møbelringen has since adopted additional functionalities, including intelligent invoice data capture, leading to significant reductions in manual work and increased automation levels. The case study also discusses the Medius Elevate program, which further enhanced Møbelringen's automation efforts, achieving an increase in touchless processing rates from 52% to over 80%. This collaboration with Medius advisors has enabled the AP team to implement continuous improvements, ensuring high process efficiency and better support for the business.
