This case study details Clindata International's implementation of Medrio Electronic Data Capture (EDC) in their animal health clinical trials. Since 2013, Clindata, a South Africa-based Contract Research Organization (CRO), has utilized Medrio EDC to enhance data management processes. By joining the Medrio Partner program, Clindata has been able to transition 21 studies from paper to EDC, resulting in improved data integrity and faster database lock. The concurrent license model allows for 20 independent trials to run simultaneously, eliminating paper processes and enabling real-time data monitoring. The study outlines how the use of EDC has streamlined operations, reduced manual tracking, and improved data accuracy. Clindata's Director of Animal Health, Jaco Kasselman, emphasizes the advantages of EDC, including automatic edit checks and a robust form library, which facilitate efficient study conduct and closure. The case study concludes with Clindata's commitment to further transition additional studies to EDC, reflecting a broader industry trend towards electronic data collection.
