Cybersecurity Solution for Gösgen Nuclear Power Plant

This case study outlines the implementation of the Menlo Secure Enterprise Browser solution at the Gösgen Nuclear Power Plant in Switzerland, which is crucial for maintaining cybersecurity in a high-risk environment. The plant faced significant challenges in allowing internet access for employees while ensuring protection against cyber threats. The existing homegrown solution was complex and burdensome for the IT team. The Menlo Secure Enterprise Browser was adopted to move fetch and execute requests to the cloud, effectively isolating active content and delivering only safe, sanitized web pages to users. This solution not only reduced the maintenance burden on the IT staff but also provided a seamless browsing experience without compromising security. The deployment was executed in a private cloud environment, ensuring data privacy while allowing employees to surf the web and access emails without risk. Since its implementation, the solution has successfully protected the organization from web-based cyberattacks, enabling productive internet use for all employees.
