This case study details the implementation of Menlo Security Email Isolation by a Fortune 50 global investment firm to combat phishing threats. Despite having multiple layers of security, including anti-spam and antivirus solutions, the firm faced challenges with spearphishing and drive-by malware exploits. The existing email security solutions were inadequate, as they relied heavily on reputation-based assessments, which failed to prevent targeted attacks. To address these vulnerabilities, the firm integrated the Menlo Security Internet Isolation Gateway into its email infrastructure. This solution isolates email links and attachments in the cloud, effectively preventing malware from accessing user devices. The architecture was designed to support a large user base globally. By isolating links, the firm achieved 100 percent protection from email link- and attachment-based attacks, ensuring that users could safely interact with emails without risking credential theft or malware infections. The case study highlights the effectiveness of cloud-based isolation in enhancing email security.
