SMMUSD Classroom Transformation Case Study

This case study outlines the transformation of the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District (SMMUSD) through the implementation of VMware solutions provided by Meridian IT. The district, which serves approximately 11,000 students, aimed to modernize its educational infrastructure to better prepare students for college and careers, particularly in STEM fields. The IT department faced challenges with a non-centralized system across 17 sites, which hindered their ability to efficiently manage resources. Meridian IT collaborated with SMMUSD to identify needs and implement VMware virtualization software, including vSphere with Operations Management, vCenter Server, Site Recovery Manager, and VMware Horizon View.
