The report highlights concerns among attorneys about clients depleting their settlement awards too quickly, with 81% expressing such worries despite 66% believing their clients are financially savvy. Furthermore, attorneys frequently recommend that clients consult with tax attorneys, financial advisors, and structured settlement brokers to discuss their awards. The report also notes that 92% of attorneys would be more inclined to recommend structured settlements after reviewing hypothetical examples of potential tax benefits. Overall, the findings underscore the importance of structured settlements as a viable option for managing employment litigation awards.
