This case study outlines the research conducted on consumer preferences regarding laundry care products, specifically focusing on scent enhancers. The objective of the study was to gather insights from consumers about their purchasing decisions and experiences with these products. The research utilized the Surveys On The Go® (SOTG) app to collect real-time feedback from shoppers while they were in-store and at home. Key findings revealed that price is the most significant factor influencing purchase decisions, with 77% of participants indicating its importance. Additionally, 71% of respondents expressed a tendency to explore various scents before making a purchase. The study also highlighted the role of brand reputation and experience in product selection, with 76% of consumers choosing products based on scent and ease of use. The case study emphasizes the importance of validated consumer data in understanding market dynamics and informing product development strategies.
