This white paper documents the advancements in 6G technology focused on increasing data throughput beyond existing capabilities. It outlines the integration of artificial intelligence into network architectures and the expansion of spectrum use to accommodate high data demands for applications such as immersive telepresence and virtual reality. The document details two case studies: Single-Input Single-Output (SISO) transmission at 285 GHz achieving approximately 100 Gbps, and simultaneous 2X2 Multiple-Input Multiple Output (MIMO) transmission at both 142 GHz and 285 GHz reaching approximately 127 Gbps. A new approach utilizing Orthomode Transducers (OMTs) is presented, which combines independent vertical and horizontal polarized signals into a dual-polarized signal, effectively doubling the data throughput per sub-THz link. The paper also reviews the methodologies of quasi-optic transmission using lenses to enhance Over-the-Air (OTA) link performance, illustrating how these innovations contribute to the future of wireless communication in the 6G landscape.
