This case study details the implementation of a new Vehicle Management System (VMS) at Ausden Clark, a passenger transport service provider operating since 1982. The company, which operates a fleet of over 50 modern coaches, identified the need to transition from outdated systems to a more streamlined solution under new leadership in 2023. The Operations Manager, Martin Starkey, led the search for a VMS, conducting extensive market research and trials. The trial of Microlise’s comprehensive Vehicle Maintenance System proved instrumental, allowing the team to test key features and improve communication, reduce paperwork, and enhance operational efficiency. The results of this implementation included reduced vehicle downtime, fewer defects, and improved overall vehicle performance. The case study also highlights the use of various tools within the Microlise suite, such as TruAnalysis, TruView, TruChecks, and TruFleet, which collectively contributed to more efficient maintenance operations and better compliance monitoring.
