This case study details the implementation of the Guided Self Apply Dust Control Program at an industrial facility in the Midwest US, specifically a steel producer facing significant fugitive dust issues. The facility required an effective and economical solution to manage dust generated by heavy equipment movement on unpaved surfaces. The program utilized EnviroKleen®, a synthetic fluid designed for long-term dust suppression, alongside strategic application guidance and remote technical support. The facility achieved over 85% dust control efficiency, improving worker health and safety while reducing the impact on equipment air filtration systems. The program allowed the facility to perform dust control in-house, providing flexibility and cost savings compared to outsourced services. The successful implementation demonstrates the potential for similar facilities to adopt this scalable, environmentally responsible approach to dust control, ensuring sustained operational effectiveness and safety.
