Case Study on Full HD AV Streaming Solution

This case study presents Mistral's development of software for an Android-based Full HD (1080P) H.264 audio-visual streaming transmitter and receiver. The customer, a leader in the Digital Multimedia domain, sought a compact solution capable of high-definition streaming for various applications. The study outlines the customer's requirements for a device that supports resolutions up to 1920 x 1080 at 60 frames per second and can function as both an AV transmitter and receiver. Mistral's solution involved designing software that supports multiple transport protocols and rendering resolutions, ensuring compatibility with various media formats. The implementation included the use of a Dual-Core ARM Cortex-A15 SoC, which provided the necessary performance for multimedia processing. The case study details the challenges faced during development, including HDMI input emulation and the customization of Android to meet specific output resolution needs.
