This technical report outlines the development of an E-Commerce system by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) aimed at improving the customer experience in parts purchasing for mechanical products. The report details the challenges faced by customers in the traditional parts purchasing process, which included difficulties in identifying parts, delays in receiving quotations, and limitations in placing orders outside of business hours. To address these issues, MHI developed an E-Commerce platform that allows customers to search for parts, prepare quotations, and place orders independently at any time. The report describes the architecture of the E-Commerce system, which employs a headless architecture to enhance efficiency and usability. It also explains the various functions provided by the E-Commerce platform, including parts identification, quotation preparation, order placement, and order status tracking. The findings indicate that this system not only streamlines the purchasing process for customers but also reduces the workload on MHI representatives, thereby enhancing overall service efficiency.
