Inspection Efficiency Technology for Parts Damage Record

This technical report presents a technology developed by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries to enhance inspection efficiency in the parts repair service business. The objective of this technology is to facilitate prompt decision-making regarding the handling of damaged parts by comparing their condition against a database of discard and repair criteria. The report outlines the creation of a database that links damage conditions with handling methods, allowing for automatic determination of whether to repair or discard a part based on its damage status. Additionally, it details a method for generating an optimal inspection order based on accumulated damage records, which aids inspectors in making quicker decisions. The results from trial applications of this technology on in-house products demonstrate a significant reduction in inspection time compared to conventional methods. The report concludes with plans for future deployment of these technologies to further improve inspection efficiency and shorten delivery times for parts.
