This case study details Olivet Nazarene University's (ONU) implementation of Mongoose's centralized texting platform to improve communication with prospective students. Prior to this, the admissions team faced challenges such as untracked communications and ineffective traditional outreach methods. The Mongoose platform, integrated with Ellucian Recruit, allowed ONU to manage large volumes of student interactions, send tailored messages, and track communications effectively. Since adopting Mongoose in 2019, ONU has experienced significant improvements in engagement and operational efficiency, culminating in record-breaking enrollment figures. The case study outlines key outcomes, including enhanced recruitment campaigns and improved student engagement through personalized messaging. Additionally, it highlights the role of an AI-powered chatbot in addressing routine inquiries, allowing staff to focus on more complex interactions. Future plans include expanding the use of Mongoose for automated communication campaigns and enhancing outreach to international students.
