This case study details the implementation of the WAVE PTX broadband push-to-talk communications system by Senaca East Africa (EA), a security company based in Nairobi, Kenya. The company faced challenges with its previous analogue two-way radios, which were unreliable due to the area's rolling terrain and extensive wooded estates. To address these issues, BCE Systems recommended the WAVE PTX system, which was trialed successfully. The new system allows for reliable, instant communication among security teams, significantly reducing operational costs and improving service delivery. The guards now utilize TLK 100 radios for patrol communications, while supervisors manage operations using the WAVE PTX Mobile app. User feedback has been positive, highlighting the system's robustness and audio clarity. The case study also outlines future plans for further deployment of the WAVE PTX system, including the potential use of TLK 150 mobile radios and WAVE PTX Dispatch for enhanced management and tracking of security personnel.
