This case study outlines the data migration strategy employed during the merger of Storio Group, which involved the integration of approximately 625 Albelli users into the Photobox Workspace environment. The migration process began with a discovery workshop led by Netpremacy, which identified the scale of the data transfer, including 959 mailboxes, 625 My Drive accounts, and 60 SharePoint sites, totaling 22.5TB of data. Challenges arose during the migration, particularly with the initial tool's performance, prompting a switch to Movebot. The decision to adopt Google Workspace was driven by its collaborative features, which were deemed more suitable for the merged organization. The IT team implemented a staggered 'go-live' approach to minimize disruption, supported by Netpremacy's Change Management and Training teams, ensuring user engagement and successful adaptation to the new platform. The migration resulted in improved collaboration, resource efficiency, and overall employee enthusiasm within the organization.
