This case study outlines the implementation of a visitor management solution at Foodstuffs South Island, a major retail cooperative in New Zealand. The organization sought a paperless and frictionless sign-in experience for visitors, prompted by challenges with their previous visitor management provider. A working group identified pain points, leading to the need for a solution that could operate without printers and computers while providing robust reporting capabilities. After evaluating various vendors, MRI OnLocation was selected for its compatibility with diverse business types and its efficient rollout process. The deployment covered 62 sites, allowing visitors to sign in by scanning QR codes, which eliminated the need for hardware and reduced costs. The new system also enabled powerful visitor pre-registration, enhancing efficiency for the front-of-house team. The implementation was recognized as successful, with plans for further functionality to be integrated into the existing system.
