MulteFire Alliance (MFA), established in 2015 and based in the United States, operates as a non-profit organization focused on facilitating the adoption of private cellular networking (PCN). With a team size of 11 to 50 employees, MFA aims to support enterprises in navigating the complexities of PCN, which is increasingly recognized for its potential to enhance operational technology environments. The organization addresses common challenges faced by enterprises, such as the technical understanding of cellular connectivity compared to Wi-Fi, and the intricacies of PCN infrastructure that includes core and radio access network elements. MFA provides resources and guidance for successful PCN deployments, including insights on spectrum management and device requirements through its Uni5G technology blueprints. Additionally, the alliance collaborates with key industry organizations, such as 5G-ACIA, to promote education and share insights on spectrum options and deployment scenarios. MFA's efforts are aimed at simplifying the PCN journey for enterprises, ultimately supporting their digital transformation objectives.
