This case study documents the implementation of NCache by TruckSpring, a prominent eCommerce company specializing in truck and trailer parts. Established in 1976, TruckSpring faced significant performance challenges due to high user traffic, which reached 100,000 users per month. The issues included large ASP.NET View State payloads, the use of sticky sessions, and database performance problems. NCache was introduced to enhance application performance, data availability, and reliability. The architecture includes a front end designed with AngularJS, a web API layer, and a back end utilizing SQL Server. NCache's robust caching features allowed TruckSpring to manage user sessions effectively and reduce page load times. Additionally, the implementation of a replicated caching topology ensured high availability and minimized the risk of server failures. The study highlights how NCache optimized operations by distributing traffic across multiple servers and caching frequently accessed data, ultimately improving user experience and application responsiveness.
