This case study details Avaya's migration of their on-premises VoIP Breeze service to the cloud in collaboration with nClouds. The objective was to enhance scalability, improve the developer experience, and increase sales velocity by automating the provisioning of development environments. Previously, provisioning took several days, which hindered operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. By utilizing AWS services, including Amazon EC2 and AWS CloudFormation, Avaya successfully reduced provisioning time to under three hours. The new architecture allows for automated lab creation, enabling both internal users and external customers to access development environments on demand. The case study outlines the challenges faced by Avaya, such as high infrastructure costs and slow response times to customer demands, and how the partnership with nClouds addressed these issues. The results include improved customer experiences, better scalability, and enhanced operational efficiency, demonstrating the benefits of cloud migration for Avaya's development processes.
