This technical report presents the findings of a study conducted by LearnPlatform by Instructure, commissioned by Nearpod, to evaluate the impact of Nearpod usage on student outcomes during the 2021-22 school year in a large urban district in Texas. The study aimed to meet Level III evidence requirements as defined by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). It analyzed data from 28,968 students and 1,029 teachers across various school levels. The report details the methodology, including the use of descriptive and correlational analyses to assess the relationship between Nearpod implementation and student performance on end-of-year English language arts (ELA) and math assessments. Key findings indicate that consistent usage of Nearpod was positively associated with higher scores on the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR). The report also discusses the implications of these findings for future research and potential enhancements in Nearpod's implementation strategies.
