Kajima Corporation Global IT Security Enhancement

This document is a case study detailing the collaboration between Kajima Corporation and NEC to enhance IT security across Kajima's global subsidiaries. As Kajima Corporation, a construction and real estate development company based in Japan, expanded its operations worldwide, it faced challenges in maintaining consistent IT security measures due to individual implementations by each subsidiary. Recognizing the increasing threat to information security, Kajima engaged NEC to analyze their security landscape and identify gaps. NEC assisted in visualizing the current security state and proposed a comprehensive security framework. The collaboration involved representatives from 14 local subsidiaries across eight Asian countries to establish a promotion structure, service levels, and implementation schedules. NEC's Advanced Response Centre was introduced to provide continuous monitoring for security threats. The partnership aimed to raise cybersecurity standards and build a sustainable IT environment that ensures operational resilience and customer trust.
