Power Platform Invoice Approval Automation Solution

This document is a case study detailing the implementation of a Power Platform-based invoice approval automation solution for a large financial enterprise located in Mumbai, India. The organization, with over 13,000 employees, faced significant challenges in managing invoice approvals solely through email, leading to delays and a lack of visibility in the approval process. The engagement with NGenious Solutions aimed to build a structured solution utilizing Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, and SharePoint Online. The project involved conducting discovery workshops, documenting requirements, and designing a multi-level approval workflow. The solution successfully reduced approval latency and payment delays, optimized costs through a contract-based model, and improved audit readiness with automated reporting. The case study concludes with the positive impact of transitioning from email-driven processes to a low-code solution, enhancing efficiency and compliance without increasing permanent headcount.
