This case study discusses the implementation of Nlyte Software for data center infrastructure management in one of the world's largest banks, which operates over 1 million square feet of data center space. The bank faced significant challenges with aging assets, high failure rates, and the complexity of managing a sprawling infrastructure across multiple global locations. After acquiring a major Wall Street brokerage firm, the bank decided to deploy Nlyte software to improve its management of data center assets. This deployment resulted in a 35 percent reduction in the technology refresh cycle, yielding annual savings of approximately $6.1 million. The software provided the ability to view asset information and make order allocation recommendations, allowing the bank to efficiently replace outdated equipment. Additionally, it contributed to decreasing power and cooling costs and delaying the need for a new data center by consolidating underutilized assets. Overall, the deployment enabled the bank to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs significantly.
