Physicians' Perspectives on Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria Burden

This technical report presents findings from the Urticaria Voices study, which investigates physicians' perspectives on the burden of chronic spontaneous urticaria (CSU) for patients, the unmet needs of physicians, and their treatment goals. The study involved a cross-sectional online survey conducted with 862 physicians from various countries, including the USA, Canada, and Japan, who treat patients with CSU. The results indicate that a significant number of physicians perceive CSU as a serious condition that negatively impacts patients' mental well-being, social interactions, and overall quality of life. The report details the treatment goals identified by physicians, such as improvement in quality of life and being free from itch and hives. Additionally, it highlights the unmet needs expressed by physicians, including the necessity for better understanding of CSU causes and improved access to treatments. Variations in perceptions across different countries are also documented, reflecting cultural nuances and treatment accessibility issues.
