This case study outlines the collaboration between SkinChem and NTT DATA to implement an automated testing solution for Microsoft Dynamics 365. Founded in 2010, SkinChem is a leading contract manufacturer of cosmetic products in South Africa, facing challenges with manual regression testing and outdated test cases. The objective was to enhance operational efficiency by adopting an up-to-date ERP solution while minimizing the time spent on manual testing. NTT DATA proposed a pilot study utilizing Executive Automats to automate regression testing, which involved conducting workshops to identify key test cases and performance metrics. The solution included designing and testing automation scripts, refining the approach through iterative testing, and negotiating a license agreement for the automation tool. The outcomes demonstrated that automated testing significantly improved software release quality, reduced the risk of critical errors, and allowed SkinChem employees to focus on core manufacturing tasks rather than manual testing processes.
