Infrabel Surveillance System Deployment Case Study

This case study details Infrabel's initiative to enhance its video surveillance capabilities by deploying Axis IP cameras across 30 sites. Faced with challenges such as high costs and operational disruptions associated with traditional fiber-optic installations, Infrabel sought a more efficient solution. Collaborating with Siemens S.A. and utilizing NVT Phybridge FLEX Power over Ethernet (PoE) innovations, Infrabel was able to simplify the installation process. The FLEX solution allowed for the reuse of existing infrastructure, significantly reducing costs and installation complexity. The deployment was completed ahead of schedule, meeting all performance expectations and enabling future enhancements like access control systems. Additionally, the project aligned with Infrabel's sustainability goals by minimizing material waste and environmental impact.
