NVT Phybridge Case Study on IP Surveillance Deployment

This case study details the deployment of an IP surveillance system by a large European consumer goods distributor, facilitated by NVT Phybridge and Anixter. The distributor faced challenges with its outdated analog surveillance system, which was inefficient and hindered by infrastructure barriers. The existing analog cameras were located far from the data closet, complicating the installation of new IP cameras without extensive rewiring. Anixter and Telefónica proposed NVT Phybridge's Ethernet over Coax (EoC) solutions, which allowed the distributor to utilize its existing coaxial infrastructure. This approach significantly reduced costs, saving over €20,000, and minimized deployment complexity. The EoC switches provided robust connectivity and power to the new IP cameras, enabling the distributor to complete the upgrade without the disruption of re-cabling. The successful implementation resulted in enhanced security and operational efficiency, as the customer was able to purchase all necessary cameras at once, streamlining the deployment process.
