This case study details the deployment of a Mitel VoIP solution by the Romanian Ministry of Internal Affairs, aimed at modernizing its outdated analog telephony system. The Ministry sought to enhance communication, efficiency, and reliability while avoiding the high costs and disruptions typically associated with network overhauls. StarC4Sys recommended the NVT Phybridge PoLRE technology, which utilizes existing single-pair UTP wiring to deliver power and data, facilitating a seamless deployment. The implementation allowed the Ministry to connect 100 Mitel IP devices across two buildings, ensuring minimal operational downtime. The PoLRE solution not only met the Ministry's communication needs but also aligned with sustainability objectives by reducing material consumption and electronic waste. The case study outlines the challenges faced during the transition, the solutions provided, and the successful outcomes achieved, including improved collaboration and operational efficiency. It highlights the benefits of leveraging existing infrastructure to achieve modernization goals without significant disruption.
