This technical note evaluates the performance of the Olink® Explore 3072 platform in analyzing brain tissue lysates. The study aims to assess the compatibility of Olink's Proximity Extension Assay (PEA™) technology with this complex sample type, focusing on its application in proteomic profiling to identify biomarkers for neurological disorders. A total of 15 brain tissue lysates were analyzed across various panels, including Oncology, Neurology, and Cardiometabolic. The results indicate a high level of protein detectability, with 68% of proteins detected in over 80% of samples. Quality control measures were implemented to ensure the reliability of the assay, with internal controls monitoring key steps in the protocol. The findings demonstrate that the Olink Explore platform provides consistent and reproducible results, making it a valuable tool for protein biomarker research in the context of brain tissue analysis. Overall, this study highlights the potential of integrating proteomics approaches in understanding neurological conditions.
