This clinical study investigates the integration of primary and virtual care, focusing on providers' perspectives regarding seamless collaboration. Conducted by Omada's Clinical and Translational Research team in partnership with Stanford Healthcare AI Applied Research Team, the study aims to assess the effectiveness of the Omada for Hypertension program compared to standard care in managing hypertension. The research highlights the increasing reliance on virtual care services, especially following the COVID-19 pandemic, and discusses the challenges of integrating these services with traditional healthcare systems. Key findings indicate that a significant majority of primary care providers express confidence in recommending virtual care programs, with many willing to utilize biometric data from outside sources to enhance patient care. The study also identifies barriers to effective integration, such as interoperability issues and concerns about health equity. Recommendations include improving data exchange processes and ensuring access to virtual care programs for diverse patient populations.
