This case study examines the digital transformation efforts of Haaglanden Medisch Centrum (HMC) as it transitioned from a fragmented technology landscape to a unified digital workspace. Following the merger of three hospitals, HMC faced challenges in managing diverse applications and devices, which hindered operational efficiency and patient care. To address these issues, HMC collaborated with Omnissa to implement solutions such as Omnissa Horizon and Workspace ONE. The strategy involved a meticulous, iterative approach starting with single sign-on and remote access capabilities. Notably, the adoption of App Volumes significantly accelerated the deployment of key applications, enhancing productivity. The implementation of unified endpoint management facilitated centralized control over devices, improving security and user experience. Furthermore, HMC prioritized continuous user feedback during the transformation process, fostering employee trust and executive buy-in. Ultimately, the case study illustrates how HMC's digital workspace initiatives are crucial for maintaining operational efficiency and enhancing patient care in a modern healthcare environment.
