Digital Uzbekistan 2030 Implementation Case Study

This case study details the implementation of Uzbekistan's Digital Uzbekistan 2030 plan by the Republican Telecommunications Management Center (RTMC). The strategy aims to enhance the country's digital infrastructure, improve government services, and promote economic growth through modern technologies. RTMC faced challenges in obtaining objective, real-time network performance data necessary for evaluating the success of 5G technology deployments. To address this, RTMC utilized Ookla’s Speedtest Intelligence® data, which provided insights into network performance and user experiences. The case study outlines how RTMC leveraged this data to analyze customer speeds and identify underperforming areas, focusing on key regions to promote digitized public services. The outcome of this initiative has shown improvements in broadband speeds, coverage, and the availability of online services, contributing to the overall enhancement of Uzbekistan's digital landscape. The collaboration with Ookla has been instrumental in supporting RTMC’s objectives and advancing the country’s telecommunications capabilities.
