This case study details the collaboration between Kelvion and Open Systems to modernize Kelvion's global network infrastructure. Kelvion, a manufacturer with 72 sites worldwide and approximately 6,000 employees, faced challenges due to a fragmented and outdated WAN. The objective was to implement a fully managed SD-WAN to ensure secure and reliable connectivity across all locations. The project was completed in six months, resulting in zero outages since implementation. The case study outlines the decision-making process for selecting Open Systems as a partner, emphasizing the need for a single provider for both SD-WAN and global network connectivity. It highlights the benefits of outsourcing network management, including reduced staffing needs and enhanced security through Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA). Additionally, it discusses the strategic growth of Kelvion's IT organization and the importance of leveraging external expertise to meet evolving technological demands.
