Davao City Fixed Network Leakage Monitoring Implementation

This technical report outlines the implementation of fixed network leakage monitoring in Davao City, Philippines, managed by the Davao City Water District (DCWD). The report details the challenges faced by DCWD in reducing non-revenue water (NRW) losses, which are targeted to decrease by 1% annually until reaching 20%. The installation of 320 Ovarro remote correlating loggers, including the Enigma3m and Enigma3HyQ models, has enabled the detection of significant leaks, including one estimated at over 1,000m3 per day. This leak had remained undetected for approximately ten years, leading to substantial water loss. The report highlights the positive impact of these technologies, including a rise in water pressure and cost savings for DCWD, allowing for the postponement of a new production well project.
