Innovative Tree Monitoring for Enhanced Safety

This case study presents Arbor Alert, an advanced tree monitoring system developed by Oxit in collaboration with entrepreneur Andy Papathanassiou. The document outlines the significant safety hazards posed by falling trees, which can endanger lives and property, particularly due to factors like severe weather and natural aging. The challenge was to create an affordable and user-friendly solution to monitor tree health and predict potential falls. Arbor Alert integrates tilt sensors to track tree stability, a mobile app and web portal for real-time data visualization, and an in-home alarm system for immediate alerts.
