Streamlining Opportunity Capture with Generative AI

This document is a case study detailing the implementation of a generative AI-powered opportunity capture platform by Koniag Government Services (KGS) for a business development organization supporting a large Federal Government contracting company. The objective of the platform is to address the challenges faced by the customer's growth and capture team, which was overwhelmed by the volume of Government contracting opportunities, particularly RFIs and RFQs from the GSA’s eBuy platform. The solution automates the process of analyzing opportunities by ingesting email alerts, scraping the eBuy platform, and assessing relevance through Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). Key AWS services utilized include Amazon Bedrock, AWS Step Functions, and Amazon Athena. The implementation resulted in a significant reduction in opportunity analysis time, enhancing team productivity and providing real-time dashboards for business leaders to track opportunity quality and performance.
