This case study examines the implementation and outcomes of the Pearson Inclusive Access program at Copiah-Lincoln Community College from Fall 2012 to Spring 2018. The initiative aimed to improve student access to course materials and enhance academic success, particularly in developmental and college-level mathematics courses. Following the adoption of Inclusive Access, graduation rates increased by eight percentage points, and retention rates rose by ten percentage points. Additionally, student success rates in gateway mathematics courses improved by 17 percentage points. The study also highlights significant cost savings for students, with an average reduction of 68% in course material expenses compared to traditional textbook prices. The program provided all students with instant access to course materials by the first day of the semester, addressing previous challenges related to timely access. Overall, the Inclusive Access initiative has positively impacted student outcomes and affordability at the college.
