This article is a research paper that presents a novel numerical model designed to simulate displacement flows inside a full-length casing string for well cementing applications. The model integrates an existing annulus model to facilitate complete displacement simulations, addressing the complexities associated with fluid interfaces and flow instabilities. It employs a three-dimensional grid to solve fluid concentrations while accounting for various parameters such as pumping rate, well inclination, and fluid properties. The paper discusses the methodology in detail and validates the model against experimental results, demonstrating acceptable agreement under different conditions. Additionally, it includes two case studies comparing simulation results with cement evaluation logs from real cementing jobs, indicating the model's capability to predict displacement efficiency accurately. The findings contribute to the understanding of displacement flow dynamics in cementing operations, which is critical for ensuring cement quality and well integrity.
