This case study details the challenges faced by the Public Works Authority in Qatar regarding their disaster recovery (DR) processes. Established in 2004, the authority is responsible for managing infrastructure projects and public buildings. The organization encountered significant issues due to manual execution of DR drills, which were time-consuming and error-prone. Key challenges included the complexity of manual processes, dependency on stakeholder availability, and lack of real-time visibility into recovery objectives. To address these issues, the authority sought an automated solution to enhance efficiency and reliability in their DR processes. The implementation of Continuity Patrol™ allowed for centralized monitoring, custom workflow automation, and improved management of application interdependencies. This automation reduced recovery time objectives and streamlined the overall DR process, enabling the organization to achieve better business continuity and resilience. The case study outlines the consultancy services provided, including Business Impact Analysis and Risk Assessment, which were integral to developing a robust IT disaster recovery plan.
