This case study details the implementation of a disaster recovery (DR) solution for a leading asset management company in the BFSI sector. The client faced challenges including the absence of a DR plan, difficulties in managing a complex IT infrastructure, and a lack of visibility regarding DR readiness. The implemented solution utilized Continuity Patrol™ to automate the recovery of applications, successfully configuring fourteen applications across a mixed operating system environment of Windows and Linux. Key metrics achieved include a recovery point objective (RPO) of 30 minutes and a recovery time objective (RTO) of 45 minutes, resulting in a 40% reduction in overall RTO. The solution also provided ISO 22301 standard DR drill reports for compliance and improved visibility through a unified monitoring console. The case study outlines the benefits of reduced dependency on subject matter experts and optimized total cost of ownership through fewer resources needed for DR drills.
