Disaster Recovery Automation for Telecommunications

This case study outlines the implementation of a disaster recovery (DR) orchestration solution for a leading digital telecommunications provider in Indonesia. The client faced challenges due to the lack of a DR strategy for their extensive IT infrastructure, which included various replication solutions and technologies. The objective was to automate IT operations during disaster scenarios to improve system reliability and reduce recovery time objectives (RTO). Perpetuuiti deployed Continuity Patrol™ to address these challenges, enabling functionalities such as single-click switchover and failover, monitoring, and orchestration. The solution provided a unified dashboard for real-time visibility into business service availability and application recovery metrics. The automation of processes led to quicker availability of applications and reduced dependency on subject matter experts (SMEs), ultimately lowering operational costs. The case study presents the results achieved, including a significant reduction in RTO and successful disaster recovery drills, demonstrating the effectiveness of the implemented solution.
